Menoufia University launches an expanded medical convoy to North Sinai

Under the auspices of the State of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and under the supervision of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, an expanded medical convoy to the villages of Arish, Sheikh Zuweid and Bir Abd in North Sinai, in cooperation with the Supreme Medical Committee and the Council of Ministers for Help .


El-Kased stressed that the university is always striving to launch its comprehensive and expanded medical convoys to the places most in need, to contribute to providing the needs of citizens in various regions of the Republic, especially the remote ones, in order to achieve the directives of the Egyptian state's efforts to raise the level of services provided to its citizens throughout the Republic.


The medical convoy started its work in Arish, where the convoy included 25 doctors from the medical cadres of Menoufia University with high qualifications and scientific expertise in the eyes - dermatology - heart and blood vessels - children - brain and nerves - tracts - chest - bones - internal medicine - diabetes and endocrinology - general surgery - nose And ear - gynecological diseases - prosthetics. The team examined about 685 medical cases, made medical glasses for 83 cases, and performed surgeries for 18 cases, in addition to analyzes and dispensing medicines for free in all cases.


The convoy was supervised by Dr. Farid Wagdy, Vice Dean of the College of Applied Health Sciences for Community Service and Environmental Development and General Supervisor of the University's convoys, Dr. Abdel-Rahman El-Sebaei, Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Haitham Memon, Dean of Pharmacy in Menoufia, Dr. Mohamed Shaaban, Member of the Higher Medical Committee and General Coordinator of Convoys in the Council of Ministers.


It is scheduled that the work of the medical convoy will continue for two days, provided that the medical team will set off tomorrow, Friday, to Sheikh Zuweid, and the day after tomorrow to Bir Abd to complete its work, provided that it finishes its work on Saturday, corresponding to the 18th of March.
