Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, announced that the university hospital emergency department received 15 injured people today, as a result of a collision between a microbus and a semi-truck, on the new Shebin El-Kom Tamlay El-Sadat road.

The President of the University emphasized that immediately after the cases arrived, first aid and the necessary medical examinations were performed, and the cases were divided according to the degree of severity, indicating that three cases were subjected directly to urgent emergency operations, including "a case of general surgery to remove the spleen resulting from abdominal bleeding, and a case of surgical operations." The bones are preserved by an open fracture in the bones of the lower extremity, and the case of heart and thoracic surgeries suffers from bleeding inside the lung.

El-Kased added that 5 cases were reserved for treatment and follow-up in intensive care under the supervision of doctors of intensive care, orthopedics, and cardiothoracic surgery. Two cases were also admitted to the internal departments of the general surgery and orthopedics departments.

El-Kased also announced that 5 cases were discharged from the hospital after receiving the necessary health care and medical examinations, and checking on their safety.

The President of the University offered sincere prayers for a speedy recovery to all the injured, stressing that Menoufia University and university hospitals are always ready to provide care and support to the people of the governorate in all aspects of life.
