Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, Dr. Ahmed Taha, Head of the Health Accreditation and Control Authority, and the supervision of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Menoufia University organized a comprehensive training program on the requirements for obtaining initial accreditation for health facilities for employees of the Institute Hospital. The National Liver and University Hospitals, within the framework of joint cooperation between the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control and Menoufia University.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased welcomed the trainers and those in charge of the training course, stressing the importance of training courses in transferring professional and practical experiences to the trainees.


El-Kased explained that the training program aims to provide participants in the training course with the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain initial accreditation for health facilities and to become familiar with the initial accreditation standards and quality management systems, in addition to understanding the principles of patient safety and risk management and acquiring quality improvement skills in health facilities.


Pointing out that the program aims to train doctors, pharmacists, nursing staff, technicians and administrators at the institute.


The Quality Unit at the National Liver Institute Hospitals has prepared this training course, in cooperation with the General Administration of Training at the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control.


In preparation for obtaining accreditation, in cooperation with the University’s Center for Strategic Studies during the period from April 16 to 18, under the supervision of Dr. Hani Abdel Majeed Shuraim, Dean of the Liver Institute, Dr. Osama Hegazy, Executive Director of the Liver Institute Hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Attia, Director General of Hospitals, and Dr. Azza. Al-Khouli, head of the quality team, and Dr. Dohi Abdel-Rahman, the course coordinator


With the participation of a group of consultants and trainers from the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control (GAHAR).


The session was lectured by Dr. Ahmed Al-Shalabi, Director of the Technical Audit Department at the Authority, and Dr. Mahmoud Murad, General Director of Medical Professions Member Registration, Dr. Kariman Al-Sabaa, member of the Authority’s General Training Department.
