The President of Menoufia University inspects. 38 projects at the Engineering Projects Exhibition

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, accompanied by Dr. Hazem Saleh, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, inspected the Engineering Projects Exhibition organized by the Faculty of Electronic Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Ayman Amira, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Gamal Mahrous, Vice President of the Faculty for Educational Affairs. And students, with the participation of final year students, students from various academic levels, students from applied health information technology, and young students from some educational academies such as Discovery Academy, Electronic Valley, and some companies sponsoring the exhibition.


The university president confirmed that the Engineering Projects Exhibition is organized annually to display student projects from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, which is considered the only one in Egyptian, Arab and African universities and institutes that is interested in one specialization in engineering science, which is electronics science. The college also includes departments that serve the field of communications and control engineering, industrial electronics, engineering and science. Computer, which aims to graduate competitive engineers in these fields. The college also offers distinguished academic programs to support graduates with basic knowledge and skills that are compatible with national and international standards, and trains them to manage engineering projects in various electronic fields while linking the ideas presented by students to the needs of society and environmental problems.


The university president added that the fields of specialization in the Faculty of Electronic Engineering are in line with the directions of the Egyptian state and the strategy of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to move towards digital transformation and technological universities and the development of programs and specializations that contribute to achieving the goals of sustainable development, the vision of Egypt 2030 and the new republic, and the importance of teaching programming and data science due to its importance at the level of the world.


The exhibition included 38 projects from various departments in the college, and the University President was keen to inspect all the projects and listen to the presentation and idea of each project. The students presented their innovative ideas and a detailed explanation of what the project offers. The University President praised many of the projects presented by the students that contribute to solving problems facing society. It serves various industrial, commercial and agricultural fields and supports green transformation and environmental preservation. The university president expressed his admiration for the students’ ideas, thinking outside the traditional box, looking forward to an advanced technological future, implementing digital transformation, moving towards artificial intelligence applications and designing robots capable of carrying out many tasks, as the students presented innovative ideas, including Smart glasses for the blind, a cardiopulmonary resuscitation device, an electric shock device, an early detection device for skin cancer, and a satellite provided by the students of the Sky Net team. The only team to my knowledge that supports the Egyptian Space Agency, an exploratory submarine, solar cells to provide solar energy, and a smart harvesting device. To save money and labor, a medical device to test human balance, a fire-fighting device, a surgical robot, and a smart glove, in addition to designing programs to serve corporate infrastructure and creating simulations for some examples.
