Under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and under the supervision of Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, Menoufia University achieved a distinguished sporting accomplishment by winning 38 medals at the Egyptian Universities Championship for the academic year 2025/2026, held as part of the El-Rifai Martyr Tournament and the simulation model of the African Games, scheduled to take place in August 2026. The competitions were hosted by Ain Shams University and Helwan University.
Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased expressed his pride and happiness with the honorable results achieved by the University’s students, affirming that this achievement reflects the University’s strategy of supporting student and sports activities as an integral part of the educational process and the development of a well-rounded student personality. He added that Menoufia University is keen to actively participate in the El-Rifai Martyr Tournament due to its strong national value and its meaningful message that combines sportsmanship with patriotism.
The University President pointed out that this excellence is the result of continuous institutional support and sustained efforts to provide the necessary resources to discover and nurture athletic talents, thereby raising the name of Menoufia University in local and national sporting arenas.
Prof. El-Kased further noted that this achievement comes as part of Menoufia University’s continued success in attaining advanced positions in Egyptian university championships, reflecting its distinguished status and leadership in supporting student and sports activities, alongside its national and educational role in preparing a generation capable of contribution and competition.
For his part, Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, emphasized that the results achieved by the University’s students are the culmination of great efforts exerted by the students themselves, as well as the technical and administrative teams of the Student Care Sector. He explained that participation in the El-Rifai Martyr Tournament is not limited to athletic competition only, but also contributes to developing teamwork, discipline, and commitment among students.
He added that the University places special emphasis on sports activities and is keen to expand student participation in various championships, supporting the acquisition of experience and the development of an aware generation capable of excellence in various fields.
