Prof. Nancy Asaad pointed out that the course aimed to qualify participants in preparing course and academic program reports according to the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education through an applied training methodology extending over three days.
The training program relied on an intensive schedule combining theoretical sessions and group activities, and its main themes were distributed as follows:
- Day One: Included an introduction to the basic concepts and terminology of quality in education, the steps of evaluating educational programs, and a review of “poor practices” in preparing course and program reports and improvement plans, aiming to correct and avoid common mistakes.
- Day Two: Focused on the practical aspect of the course report, where actual models of course reports were presented, along with training activities on each section of the report. The day also included group discussions and exchange of feedback. A dedicated session was held to clarify the roles and responsibilities of both the program coordinator and the course coordinator.
- Day Three: Was dedicated to the academic program report, during which applied models were further presented and analyzed. A rapid assessment was conducted for trainees to measure the extent to which they had acquired the targeted knowledge and skills. The course concluded with a final evaluation session, during which trainers used the latest training methods that went beyond traditional lectures to include interactive presentations and live simulation models, with a focus on practical training in preparing the documents and models required for programmatic and institutional accreditation.
At the conclusion of the events, participants praised the importance of the course in supporting their academic and practical capabilities, affirming that it contributed to enhancing their understanding of evaluation and follow-up mechanisms according to quality standards, which positively reflects on the competitiveness of the university’s academic programs.
