Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, affirmed that the University's hospitals continue to play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to citizens as one of the leading medical and educational institutions in Menoufia Governorate and the Delta region. He noted that the achievements recorded during the 2025/2026 fiscal year reflect the State's strategy for advancing the healthcare system and come in line with the support and directives of Prof. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to enhance the role of university hospitals in delivering integrated medical, educational, and research services that improve the quality of healthcare for citizens.

Prof. El-Kased stated that the University's hospitals provided more than 2,524,520 medical and diagnostic services during the 2025/2026 fiscal year, an achievement that reflects the tremendous efforts of the medical and administrative teams and the efficiency of the healthcare system in delivering high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services.

He explained that the annual statistics recorded 156,367 emergency and reception cases, 293,017 outpatient visits, and 56,002 inpatient admissions. The hospitals also performed 18,102 surgical procedures across various specialties, conducted 202,080 radiology examinations, and processed 1,706,296 laboratory tests. In addition, they provided 14,907 clinical nutrition services, recorded 242,156 inpatient treatment days, completed 22,190 blood donation procedures, admitted 514 newborns and infants to neonatal intensive care units, and conducted 4,963 medical consultations. Furthermore, the hospitals delivered 24,300 dialysis sessions for 3,225 patients, received 5,853 intensive care cases, and performed 1,522 cardiac catheterization procedures, reflecting the broad range of specialized healthcare services offered by Menoufia University Hospitals.

Prof. El-Kased emphasized that the University continues to implement its ambitious plan to further develop its healthcare system by expanding medical and educational projects within the University Medical Complex, upgrading infrastructure and medical equipment, and investing in human resources. These efforts enhance the quality of healthcare services provided to citizens and align with the State's vision for advancing higher education and healthcare, while reinforcing Menoufia University's position as one of Egypt's leading institutions in medical education, scientific research, and community service, particularly as the University prepares to celebrate its Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years since its establishment.

He added that these achievements reflect the efficiency of the University's healthcare system and its continuous efforts to modernize medical infrastructure, upgrade equipment, and support healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare services. He also highlighted the hospitals' vital role in supporting medical education and scientific research while preparing physicians capable of keeping pace with the latest medical advancements.

For his part, Prof. Mohamed El-Nomany, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Menoufia University Hospitals, stated that the achievements recorded during the fiscal year reflect the spirit of teamwork among physicians, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff, demonstrating the hospitals' success in meeting patients' needs while delivering integrated healthcare services in accordance with the highest standards of quality and patient safety.

He added that the University Hospitals remain committed to continuously improving diagnostic and therapeutic services, expanding the use of advanced medical technologies, and strengthening specialized medical disciplines to enhance operational efficiency and accommodate the growing number of patients. He emphasized that the hospitals represent a cornerstone of specialized healthcare services for the residents of Menoufia Governorate and neighboring governorates, while also fulfilling their educational and research mission in preparing highly qualified physicians and healthcare professionals.

Meanwhile, Dr. Mohamed Sabry, Executive Director of Menoufia University Hospitals, affirmed that the figures achieved during the 2025/2026 fiscal year reflect the efficiency of the healthcare system and the strong coordination among the University's hospitals, departments, and medical units. He noted that the hospitals operate around the clock to provide distinguished medical and diagnostic services while maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient safety.
