The Council of Menoufia  University was held this morning under the chairmanship of Dr. Moawad Al-Khouli, President of the University and attended by Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, the former Minister of Local Development, a member of the Council from abroad, the Vice-Presidents of the University and the deans of colleges and institutes.

The Council started the session by a minute of mourning over the lives of the martyrs of the country in the recent terrorist incidents. The President of the University resumed the session by accepting the request of the Iraqi international students in the Faculty of Medicine to reduce tuition fees due to the economic conditions suffered by their country which led to their inability to pay the fees Study.

And the amendment of the five-year plan for the academic year 2018/2019 for the departments  of home management, institutions, home economics and education by adding a demonstrator  to the five-year plan according to the needs of the college.

The council  also approved on the appointment of Major General Magdy Mohamed Mohammadine, Director of Benha El Harbi Factory, Eng. Mohamed Magdy El Arabi, Director of Engineering Department of Al-Arabi Group, and Mohamed Abdel Hamid Khalaf as a member of the council  of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering from abroad for one year.

And Dr. Hassan Sulaiman Rahma, Professor of Spinning, Weaving and Knitting, Faculty of Applied Arts, Tanta University, and Dr. Adel Gamal El Din, Professor of Clothing and Textile, Faculty of Specific Education, Tanta University.

According to the decision of the Supreme Council of Universities to accept the blind students in the faculties of commerce and literature and law  provided they receive at least 50% of the total with the availability of materials eligible for admission to these colleges.

The Council also approved the recommendation of the Council of Education that the dates of the end of the study in the first semester 2017/2018 Thursday, 28/12/2017, and the start of examinations for formal education on Saturday, 30/12/2017 and ends Thursday, 18/1/2018, and open education begins Saturday 20 / 1/2018 and start half-year vacation for two weeks from Saturday 20/1/2018 until Thursday 1/2/2018.

And the start of the second semester Saturday, 3/2/2018 and end of Thursday, 24/5/2018, and begin his exams from Saturday 26/5/2018 until Thursday 21/6/2018, and the exams of the second round begins Saturday 1/9/2018 for the faculties and institutes of the University According to the internal regulations of each faculty.
