President of Menoufia University Holds Online Meeting of the Postgraduate Studies Council and Announces the Publication of 30,235 Research Papers in International Journals

Professor Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired the online meeting of the Postgraduate Studies Council with the participation of deans and vice-deans for postgraduate studies, council members, Ms. Souad Bayoumi, Head of the Central Administration of the President’s Office, the Director-General of Cultural Relations, and the Director-General of the Postgraduate Studies Administration.

At the outset of the meeting, Professor El-Kased extended congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Egyptian people, and the university community on the occasion of the Prophet’s Birthday, wishing Egypt and its people continued progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of President El-Sisi.

During the session, Professor El-Kased reviewed the progress of the university’s and faculties’ plans in the fields of scientific research and postgraduate studies, as well as the conduct of examinations. He emphasized the importance of overcoming obstacles facing researchers and postgraduate students, addressing the challenges of those encountering difficulties, and following up on students’ academic files.

The President of the University noted that 200 research papers authored by faculty members were registered during August, bringing the university’s total published papers to 30,235, including 7,011 single-authored papers and 23,224 co-authored papers. He stressed the importance of scientific research, international publication, expanding the number of published works, and promoting collaborative, applicable research that serves society and supports the state’s objectives and sustainable development.

Professor El-Kased added that the session also discussed matters related to the work of the General Administration of Postgraduate Studies and Cultural Relations. The council approved the minutes of the previous meeting and reviewed the implementation of prior resolutions. The meeting further examined annual and semi-annual reports of several postgraduate students enrolled in master’s and doctoral programs for both the past and current academic years, in addition to scientific reports submitted by scholarship recipients and faculty members concerning their participation in conferences held at Menoufia University and at other Egyptian, Arab, and international universities.
