Under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and the supervision of Prof. Nasser Abdelbary, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, a distinguished student delegation from Menoufia University participated in an intensive training workshop held at the Egyptian Police Academy – Police Research Center.
The workshop addressed key themes regarding the role of the governmental apparatus in countering schemes aimed at destabilizing the state, and enhancing youth awareness of contemporary challenges targeting national security and stability.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased emphasized that the participation of students in such activities comes as part of the University’s continuous efforts to build a well-informed, responsible, and nationally committed student, capable of facing modern challenges with awareness, culture, and positive engagement. He stressed that “the Egyptian State relies on its conscious youth who understand the challenges and recognize the reality of the attempts targeting the nation’s unity and stability.”
He also praised the ongoing cooperation between the University and various state institutions, foremost among them the Ministry of Interior and the Police Academy, in supporting the development of an enlightened and balanced student character.

For his part, Prof. Nasser Abdelbary, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, affirmed that student participation in this workshop falls within the University’s plan to enhance social and political awareness among its youth. He clarified that “elevating students’ capacity to distinguish between truth and misinformation has become essential to protect them from intellectual polarization and shield them from attempts at manipulation.”

The workshop featured extensive educational sessions focusing on the dangers of rumor-spreading, the impact of ignorance on social cohesion, and the importance of national consciousness in protecting young people from misinformation campaigns. The program also included a comprehensive presentation on the Academy, its vision, and the training programs it offers in security and research fields.

Specialists addressed several key topics, including:

  • The concept of state-destabilization schemes and the distinction between these schemes and normal governmental change.

  • The nature and generations of modern warfare, and how fourth-generation warfare targets youth awareness and national identity.

  • Methods used by extremist groups to recruit young people, and mechanisms for identifying and countering such tactics.

  • The role of state institutions in confronting destructive schemes, and the importance of youth engagement in safeguarding the nation.

Students also participated in a field tour inside several training sectors at the Academy, gaining insight into the nature of security work and the efforts undertaken to prepare qualified cadres capable of preserving national security and stability.

The workshop witnessed active engagement and rich discussions from the participating students, reflecting their awareness and interest in national issues. At the conclusion of the program, certificates of appreciation were awarded to students from Menoufia University and the other participating universities.

The participation was held under the general supervision of Dr. Mohamed Shaheen, Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare, and the executive supervision of the Family and Student Unions Administration, led by Tarek Kamal, Director of the Administration.
