Under the patronage of Professor Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and Professor Nasser Abdel-Bary, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the General Administration for Student Welfare — Scouts and Public Service Administration — participated in the activities of the Fifth Friendship Gathering for Scouts and Guides of Egyptian Universities, hosted by Suez Canal University from 7–11 September 2025. The Menoufia University Scouts achieved distinguished recognition, winning the titles of Model Participants of the Fifth Friendship Gathering.

Professor Ahmed El-Kased congratulated the university’s Scouts team, emphasizing the importance of scouting in cultivating leadership skills, teamwork, volunteerism, cooperation, and community service among students. He highlighted the role of scouting in developing positive behavior, enabling students to represent the university honorably at all forums, and achieving advanced rankings at national gatherings. He also stressed that such achievements reflect the university’s academic mission to develop students, support their growth, encourage healthy lifestyles, and build a well-rounded generation across physical, intellectual, scientific, and research dimensions, thereby strengthening the university’s standing locally, nationally, and internationally.

Professor Nasser Abdel-Bary also extended his congratulations to the Scouts team, affirming the university’s commitment to supporting all athletic and physical activities, enhancing students’ sporting capacities, and selecting and preparing the best talents for participation in national and international championships.

The students took part under the supervision of Professor Mohamed Shahin, Director-General of the General Administration for Student Welfare, and Professor Walid Hussein Talaat, Director of the Scouts and Public Service Administration.

The Menoufia University delegation won the following distinctions:

• Best Leader Award: Student Ahmed Ali Abdel-Halim – Faculty of Medicine

• Best Campfire Performer Award: Student Abdel-Rahman Nagi Gowhar – Faculty of Arts

• Best Scout Award (Delegation): Student Khaled Shahin – Faculty of Commerce

• Best Guide Award (Delegation): Student Nada Osama Khodair – Faculty of Commerce

The delegation was accompanied by Marwa Hany and Mohamed El-Daly, and trained by Tarek Fouad Arafa, Head of the University Scouts Training Office, and Hassan Abu-Dawi, member of the University Training Office.
