Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, conducted a nighttime inspection tour of the University Hospitals to monitor workflow and ensure the quality of healthcare services provided to patients. The visit reflects his commitment to continuous on-site follow-up and assessing the level of services delivered to citizens. He was received by Prof. Mohamed El-Nomany, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals.
The tour included inspections of several vital departments and intensive care units. The University President checked the availability of medications and medical supplies, the regularity of medical and nursing staff performance, and adherence to quality and infection control standards, ensuring the provision of safe and distinguished medical services to patients.
He emphasized that the development of University Hospitals is a top priority for the University administration, in line with the State’s direction toward upgrading the healthcare system. He noted that the increasing number of patients seeking treatment at the hospitals reflects strong public confidence in the level of services provided, which requires continued efforts to enhance performance and upgrade capabilities on an ongoing basis.
Prof. El-Kased confirmed that work is underway to implement the Medical City project, representing a major qualitative leap in developing the University’s healthcare and educational services. The project aims to establish an integrated medical system that includes specialized disciplines and advanced centers of excellence, contributing to the provision of top-tier therapeutic services while supporting students’ educational and training processes. He added that the Medical City aligns with the State’s vision to elevate the healthcare sector, meet citizens’ needs, and keep pace with the latest global standards in medical care.
During the tour, the President met with several patients and their families across different departments, listening to their feedback on service quality and directing the prompt response to any observations or complaints to ensure the highest level of care and patient satisfaction.
He also met with citizens inside the hospital, affirming that University Hospitals represent one of the State’s key pillars in delivering healthcare services, especially amid comprehensive development in infrastructure, medical equipment, and human resource capacity building for physicians and nursing staff.
The President extended his congratulations to the medical teams and hospital staff on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, praising their dedication and tireless efforts—particularly during night shifts—and affirming that their work reflects an honorable image of the University’s medical sector.
He concluded the tour by stressing the importance of continuous field presence by leadership and real-time follow-up of operations, contributing to improved healthcare service quality and ensuring the best possible medical care for citizens.
For his part, Prof. Mohamed El-Nomany affirmed that the hospitals are witnessing significant progress in medical services and equipment, in line with the University administration’s directives to advance the healthcare system. He highlighted the ongoing modernization of medical devices and the enhancement of medical and nursing staff efficiency. He added that the growing number of daily patients reflects citizens’ confidence in the quality of services, motivating further efforts to maintain this standard and provide healthcare worthy of the Egyptian citizen.
