Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, participated in the annual Iftar ceremony organized by the University Hospitals for medical teams and staff, held in a Ramadan atmosphere reflecting appreciation and solidarity with healthcare professionals. The event brought together personnel from the University Hospital, the National Liver Institute Hospital, and the Oncology Institute Hospital, in the presence of Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Mrs. Soaad Bayoumi, Secretary-General of the University.
The ceremony was organized under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed El-Nomany, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board; Prof. Osama Hegazy, Dean of the National Liver Institute; and Prof. Ahmed Sabry, Dean of the Oncology Institute. The event was attended by a large number of University Council members, faculty deans, vice deans of the Faculty of Medicine and the two institutes, executive directors of the University Hospital and the affiliated hospitals, in addition to faculty members, medical and nursing staff, and administrative personnel.
The University President was keen to be present among medical teams on duty during the holy month of Ramadan, in a humanitarian gesture recognizing their vital role and continuous efforts in providing round-the-clock healthcare services. He emphasized that their presence at work during such times reflects their dedication and commitment to their noble mission.
Prof. El-Kased expressed his sincere pleasure in sharing this annual gathering with the staff, extending his congratulations on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan and wishing them continued blessings and prosperity. He commended the distinguished services and unprecedented efforts provided by the medical sector at the University Hospitals in serving patients.
He affirmed that the University Hospitals constitute a fundamental pillar of both the healthcare and educational systems, combining the provision of advanced medical services in accordance with the latest standards with their academic role in training students of medical faculties and preparing qualified professionals capable of keeping pace with rapid developments in the healthcare field.
He further noted that the University administration spares no effort in supporting and developing the University Hospitals, whether through upgrading infrastructure, providing modern medical equipment, or supporting human resources. He indicated that the coming phase will witness further development and enhancement of healthcare services provided to citizens, in line with the State’s vision for improving healthcare quality.
The President also stressed the importance of teamwork within the medical system and enhancing cooperation among various specialties to improve performance efficiency and achieve the best therapeutic outcomes for patients, emphasizing that the human element remains the cornerstone of any success.
Prof. El-Kased extended his sincere appreciation to all medical and administrative staff for their dedicated efforts, noting that such gatherings strengthen the sense of belonging and foster human connections within the University, reflecting a unified institutional family working toward serving the community and advancing the healthcare system.
