Menoufia University President Meets Medical Teams at the National Liver Institute and Commends Achievement of Full Accreditation from General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR)

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held a meeting with the medical and administrative teams at the National Liver Institute, in the presence of Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Mrs. Soaad Bayoumi, Secretary-General of the University; Prof. Osama Hegazy, Dean of the National Liver Institute; Prof. Eman Abdel Samea, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies; Dr. Ahmed Attia, Executive Director of the Institute Hospital; the Institute’s General Director; the General Director of Financial Affairs; and a number of faculty members, physicians, nursing staff, and employees.

The meeting was held following the President’s participation in the annual Iftar ceremony of the University Hospitals, within the framework of his ongoing commitment to monitoring the workflow within the University Hospitals, ensuring the quality of medical services provided to patients, and engaging directly with staff to identify key challenges and proposals for development.

At the outset of the meeting, the University President congratulated all Institute staff on obtaining full accreditation from the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR), affirming that this achievement represents the culmination of significant efforts exerted by the Institute’s team and reflects their commitment to applying quality and patient safety standards in accordance with the latest approved medical systems.

Prof. El-Kased expressed his pride in the distinguished position attained by the Institute among medical institutions, noting that the National Liver Institute is one of the leading specialized medical centers, providing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services in the field of liver diseases, in addition to its vital role in supporting scientific research and preparing qualified medical professionals.

He emphasized that the University administration spares no effort in supporting and developing the medical sector through infrastructure modernization, provision of state-of-the-art medical equipment, and continuous capacity-building for medical and administrative teams—efforts that directly enhance the quality of services provided to patients.

During the meeting, the President engaged in an open dialogue with staff members, listening to their views and suggestions regarding the improvement of the work environment, enhancement of performance efficiency, and removal of any obstacles that may affect workflow. He stressed that the human element remains the cornerstone of success within the medical system.

He further underscored the importance of maintaining adherence to quality and infection control standards and continuing to deliver safe and distinguished healthcare services that uphold patients’ trust in University Hospitals. He noted that the coming phase requires sustained efforts to preserve this achievement and strive for further accomplishments.

For their part, Institute staff expressed their appreciation for the President’s direct engagement and on-site follow-up, affirming that such support serves as a strong motivation to continue working with efficiency and dedication.

In conclusion, Prof. Osama Hegazy, Dean of the National Liver Institute, extended his sincere thanks to the University President for his continuous support, affirming that the Institute’s full accreditation was achieved as a result of this sustained backing alongside the dedicated efforts of all staff members. He reiterated the commitment to maintaining teamwork to preserve the level of excellence and further advance the quality of healthcare services provided.
