Menoufia University President Meets University Hospitals Administration and Affirms Support for Comprehensive Development and Expansion of Specialized Medical Services

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, convened a meeting with the administration of the University Hospitals, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Oncology Institute. The meeting was attended by Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Mrs. Soaad Bayoumi, Secretary-General of the University; Prof. Mohamed El-Nomany, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board; Prof. Ahmed Sabry, Dean of the Oncology Institute; vice deans for postgraduate studies and research; executive directors of the University Hospitals and the Oncology Institute Hospital; and members of the administrative staff. The meeting was held within the framework of the University’s regular follow-up of hospital operations.

During the meeting, the University President reaffirmed his commitment to direct engagement with physicians, nursing staff, and employees, listening to their views and proposals as they represent the cornerstone of healthcare system development. He stressed the importance of integration among all members of the medical team to achieve optimal outcomes in serving patients.

Prof. El-Kased expressed his pride in the appointment of Prof. Nasser Abdelbary, one of the Faculty of Medicine’s distinguished alumni, as President of Sadat City University, noting that this reflects the Faculty’s academic excellence and its capacity to prepare qualified leaders for senior positions in academic institutions.

He commended the significant progress witnessed by the University Hospitals in upgrading medical equipment, developing infrastructure, and enhancing the quality of therapeutic services, emphasizing that such advancement is the result of a clear strategic plan aimed at elevating the University’s healthcare system.

The President outlined the future vision for developing the University Hospitals, including the establishment of new specialized clinics, expansion of hospital capacity, integration of the latest medical technologies, and intensification of training programs for medical teams to enhance performance efficiency and improve the quality of healthcare services. He affirmed that the University Hospitals are now capable of delivering advanced medical services and meeting patients’ needs with high efficiency.

He further highlighted that the University’s Medical City project will represent a qualitative leap in the provision of healthcare and educational services. The project is envisioned as an integrated complex combining hands-on student training with advanced medical care in accordance with international standards. He noted that the University places great importance on this vital project to serve patients and prepare qualified medical professionals capable of meeting labor market demands.

Prof. El-Kased explained that the expansions of the Oncology Institute constitute the first phase of the Medical City project, aiming to increase capacity and provide advanced oncology treatment services according to the latest medical systems, thereby alleviating patients’ burdens while supporting education and research and offering distinguished practical training opportunities for medical students.

He emphasized that developing the medical sector remains a top priority for the University administration due to its vital role in serving the community, reaffirming continued support for the University Hospitals and the removal of any obstacles that may hinder workflow.

The President also praised the Faculty of Medicine for maintaining and renewing its academic accreditation for the second time, reflecting full adherence to quality and excellence standards in education and training and demonstrating the Faculty’s ability to keep pace with the latest educational and medical systems at both national and international levels.

In conclusion, Prof. El-Kased extended his sincere appreciation to Prof. Mohamed El-Nomany and all medical and administrative teams for their dedicated efforts and humanitarian commitment, particularly amid the challenges facing the healthcare sector. He affirmed the continuation of field visits and ongoing monitoring to ensure the delivery of distinguished medical services befitting Menoufia University and meeting patients’ needs.

For his part, Prof. Mohamed El-Nomany expressed his deep appreciation to the University President for his continuous support of the medical system and his commitment to on-site follow-up, noting that such meetings reflect genuine interest in performance development and motivation of medical teams. He also commended the University administration’s sustained support for upgrading the University Hospitals and enhancing healthcare services, affirming that the hospitals are currently witnessing significant progress in infrastructure development, modernization of medical equipment in line with international standards, and expansion of specialized clinics—developments made possible through the vision and support of Menoufia University’s leadership.
