Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, attended the Golden Jubilee celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the ordination and enthronement of His Grace Bishop Benjamin, Bishop of Menoufia. The celebration was held at the Church of the Virgin Mary in El-Batanoun, Shebin El-Kom District, commemorating five decades of devoted service and dedication (1976–2026).

The event was attended by Major General Amr El-Gharib, Governor of Menoufia; Mr. Mohamed Mousa, Deputy Governor; Prof. Ahmed Zaki Badr, Former Minister of Local Development; Prof. Nancy Asaad, Vice President of Menoufia National University for Academic Affairs; Prof. Hassan Darwish, Head of the Central Administration of the Al-Azhar Region in Menoufia; Archpriest Bola Yacoub, Deputy of the Diocese of Menoufia; along with a distinguished gathering of executive, security, public, and religious leaders, clergy members, public figures, and citizens of the governorate.

Prof. El-Kased emphasized that Menoufia University's participation in this national occasion reflects its societal mission and its commitment to promoting the values of citizenship and national unity. He noted that His Grace Bishop Benjamin has devoted the past fifty years to a remarkable journey of national, humanitarian, and pastoral service, making significant contributions to strengthening the values of love, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among the people of Menoufia.

The University President added that Menoufia University maintains a longstanding and close partnership with the Diocese of Menoufia through numerous community, cultural, and awareness initiatives that promote constructive dialogue and reinforce cooperation among state institutions in serving society. He further noted that Menoufia Governorate stands as an exemplary model of national cohesion and social harmony, reflecting the vision of the Egyptian state under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in building the New Republic and fostering the values of citizenship.

The celebration featured speeches highlighting the Egyptian Church's enduring national role as a genuine partner in the nation's development. Speakers stressed that fifty years of service represent not merely the passage of time, but a distinguished legacy of dedication and a noble mission faithfully carried out by His Grace Bishop Benjamin. They praised his significant role in promoting coexistence, national belonging, and the belief that the nation's true strength lies in the unity of its people and their shared commitment to serving the public good.

For his part, His Grace Bishop Benjamin, Bishop of Menoufia, expressed his sincere appreciation to the Governor of Menoufia, the President of Menoufia University, and all attendees for participating in the celebration. He affirmed that the spirit of love and cooperation among all Egyptians constitutes the cornerstone of the nation's continued progress and sustainable development, while commending the remarkable sense of national unity that characterizes Menoufia Governorate on all occasions.
