Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held the monthly meeting of the Central Library and University Libraries Committees, with the participation of committee members online via electronic meeting platforms.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased noted that the meeting reviewed the activities and events carried out by the libraries of the university's faculties and institutes during the month of April, followed up on the implementation of decisions, and discussed the agenda for the two sessions.
El-Kased added that topics related to the work of the General Administration of University Libraries, the Central Library, digital, and audio-visual resources were discussed, as well as the completed library inventory and the new additions of books, periodicals, and encyclopedias purchased from the Cairo International Book Fair or donated to some faculty libraries.
The university president also discussed some guidelines and standards for accepting information resources donated to the university's college libraries. He also discussed the services provided by the digital library to researchers, including faculty members, support staff, and graduate students.
The university president also noted the continued holding of workshops for audiovisual library staff at the General Administration of Libraries and college libraries to train staff and familiarize students with the services provided by the libraries.
El-Kased added that 200 doctoral and master's theses were received and archived, and 120 theses were linked to the FLS website during April.
