Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, inspected the Measurement and Evaluation Centers at the Faculty of Law building to follow up on the completion and equipment, the installation of computers, and the necessary security for the centers and students. He was accompanied by Prof. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bay, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary General of the University; Prof. Ihab El-Naasan, Dean of the Faculty of Home Economics; and Eng. Rabab El-Daly, Director General of Engineering Affairs.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased indicated that the Measurement and Evaluation Centers at the University's Theoretical Complex include three halls in the Faculty of Law lecture halls with a capacity of 1,400 computers. These have been fully installed, are operational, and connected to the university's secure electronic testing network. He emphasized the need to take the necessary security and protection measures and activate surveillance cameras.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased explained the importance of the role of the Measurement and Evaluation Centers in disseminating the concepts of measurement and evaluation among students and faculty members, and presenting the procedures and processes for building question banks and implementing automated marking and electronic tests in the field of specialization. They also play a training role aimed at raising the skills of faculty members in building question banks and dealing with automated marking programs and electronic tests. They also evaluate the performance of colleges in implementing automated marking and electronic testing systems, develop programs, and present recommendations and proposals to address weaknesses in overall performance related to measurement and evaluation processes. They also develop programs and work systems related to examinations and measuring and evaluating student performance.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased also emphasized the importance of the role of measurement and evaluation centers and units in the various colleges in developing the actual evaluation system for exams, which results in increased efficiency and skills of graduates. He emphasized the university's commitment to providing all the necessary capabilities for the success of the measurement and evaluation system at the university, within the framework of the state's plan and the Ministry of Higher Education, which aims to develop university education within the framework of Egypt's Vision 2030.
