Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, stated that the idea of establishing a national technological university stems from the State’s vision to advance technical and applied education and directly link it to the needs of industry and the labor market. He emphasized that the University represents a new milestone added to Menoufia Governorate’s educational and developmental record, noting that it is not merely an academic institution, but a strategic step toward preparing a generation of scientifically and technologically qualified graduates. Technological universities, he added, embody a modern educational model that focuses on skills, application, and innovation, rather than solely on theoretical study.
Prof. El-Kased affirmed that Menoufia National Technological University is one of the newly established institutions that constitutes a qualitative addition to Egypt’s technological education system, in line with the State’s plans to achieve comprehensive development and Egypt Vision 2030. The University aims to provide advanced applied education that keeps pace with rapid scientific and technological advancements, and to prepare qualified technical and technological cadres capable of competing and meeting the demands of the local and regional labor markets.
At its launch, the University includes five faculties offering a wide range of specialized technological programs designed in accordance with the latest academic standards, ensuring the integration of academic study with practical training and equipping students with real-world skills aligned with industrial and productive sectors.
Prof. Hatem Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information and Supervisor of the University’s Preparatory Arrangements, explained that the bylaws of the faculties and programs have been developed in accordance with the latest educational systems adopted by technological universities and in alignment with academic standards and labor market needs. He added that strong emphasis has been placed on applied learning and practical training within laboratories and real working environments, in addition to incorporating courses that foster innovation and entrepreneurship. He confirmed that the University’s preparations are progressing according to a precise timeline to ensure program readiness and the reception of students at the highest level of efficiency.
