The Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at Menoufia University held an extensive introductory seminar on academic partnership programs with the University of Louisville in the United States. The seminar was attended by Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University; Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bary, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Ghada Hassan, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Prof. Osama Abdel-Raouf, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence; and Mrs. Souad Bayoumi, Secretary-General of the University.
In his address, Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, emphasized that the University places great importance on strengthening international academic partnerships with prestigious universities, as this contributes to the development of the educational process and the enhancement of academic programs in accordance with global standards. He noted that cooperation with the University of Louisville represents a qualitative addition to the educational system at Menoufia University and reflects its commitment to preparing qualified graduates capable of competing at both regional and international levels in the fields of artificial intelligence and advanced sciences.
The University President added that these programs provide students with outstanding educational opportunities, enrich their academic and cultural experiences, and contribute to refining their scientific and research skills. He affirmed the full support of the University administration for such initiatives, which open new horizons for students and graduates and keep pace with the requirements of the global labor market.
The seminar comes as part of Menoufia University’s commitment to enhancing international academic cooperation and supporting distinguished educational programs that keep up with global developments in artificial intelligence and engineering sciences, thereby contributing to the preparation of graduates qualified to compete in both local and international labor markets.
During the seminar, Prof. Ayman El-Baz, Head of the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Louisville, reviewed the joint academic tracks and opportunities for enrollment in the international programs. He outlined the features of the dual bachelor’s degree program, which enables students to obtain two academic degrees: a Bachelor’s degree from Menoufia University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville, through two study tracks that include two years of study at each university and one additional year at the University of Louisville.
The seminar also introduced the joint master’s degree program, designed for final-year students and graduates, which offers an accelerated pathway to earning a master’s degree, with the remaining study requirements completed at the University of Louisville.
Attendees affirmed that these international partnerships represent an important step toward developing the university education system and reflect Menoufia University’s vision of openness to global universities and the provision of advanced educational programs that meet future needs.
At the conclusion of the event, Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, honored Prof. Ayman El-Baz during the University’s celebrations of its forty-ninth anniversary.
