Within the framework of Menoufia University’s commitment to building students’ character and enhancing their national awareness, and under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, and the supervision of Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bary, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Leadership Preparation Department at the General Administration of Student Welfare—under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Gamal Shaheen, Director General of the Administration—organized a field visit to the Egyptian Military Academy in the New Administrative Capital, in cooperation with the University’s Military Education Department led by Colonel Staff Officer Mostafa Abdullah Akid.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, affirmed that organizing such visits comes within the University’s strategy to link the educational process with national awareness, and to provide students with the opportunity to learn about the system of scientific and practical preparation and training at the Egyptian Military Academy. He noted that the Academy represents a distinguished national institution in preparing the Egyptian citizen on the foundations of discipline, commitment, and knowledge, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified cadres capable of serving the nation and assuming responsibility.
For his part, Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bary, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, explained that the University is keen to support student activities that contribute to strengthening the values of belonging and loyalty, and enhancing national awareness among students. He emphasized that direct exposure to such honorable national institutions has a profound positive impact on shaping young people’s awareness and building their character.
The visit included a delegation of 28 male and female students from various faculties of the University, accompanied by a supervisory delegation comprising Prof. Khaled Zeyada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts; Prof. Islam Faydallah, Professor and Head of Department at the Faculty of Agriculture; Colonel Staff Officer Mostafa Abdullah Akid, Director of the Military Education Department; Mr. Osama Shawky Deif, Director of the Leadership Preparation Department; and Ms. Asmaa El-Hady, Visit Supervisor.
During the visit, students conducted an extensive tour of the Egyptian Military Academy, where they were introduced to the daily life of cadets, training and educational systems, and the integrated services provided by the Academy, in addition to the advanced facilities that contribute to preparing officers who possess high efficiency, discipline, and readiness to serve the nation.
