Menoufia University Wins First Place in the Industrial Culture and Community Creativity Track at the University Innovation Forum (Innoventre 2026)

Under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, the University participated in the University Innovation Forum (Innoventre 2026), organized by Banha National University in cooperation with the Innovators and Geniuses Support Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education as a strategic partner. The forum was held under the theme “University Innovation in the Service of Industry and Sustainable Development”, with wide participation from universities and educational and research institutions across the country—reflecting the growing awareness of innovation as a key driver of economic and social development.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased announced that Menoufia University achieved a distinguished accomplishment during the forum’s events, as the project “The Guard Automation of Climate Change” won first place in the Industrial Culture and Community Creativity track. The project was presented by researcher Dr. Ahmed Rifai Youssef from the Faculty of Science. In addition, the project by Dr. Ahmed Rifai and researcher Ali Gomaa Abdel-Maqsoud (STEM Sadat) won the opportunity to participate in a one-week training camp at Banha National University, under the patronage of the Innovators and Geniuses Support Fund, in support of outstanding research projects.

Prof. El-Kased emphasized that the University’s first-place win in the Industrial Culture and Community Creativity track at Innoventre 2026 represents a true culmination of the University’s efforts to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, and to link academic knowledge with the needs of society and industry.

He added that this achievement reflects the success of Menoufia University’s vision in supporting creative ideas and transforming them into projects with tangible societal and economic impact. He noted the University’s keenness to provide a stimulating environment for innovation and to encourage students and faculty members to adopt innovative solutions that contribute to sustainable development and serve the local community.

Prof. El-Kased congratulated the winning research team, affirming that the University’s participation in the University Innovation Forum comes within the framework of its commitment to supporting the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem and linking the educational process to the needs of industry and the labor market—thereby contributing to the preparation of graduates who possess practical skills and the ability to innovate and compete.

The University President further explained that the forum serves as an important national platform for exchanging expertise among universities and industrial and research institutions. It also reflects the State’s orientation toward transforming innovative ideas and university projects into implementable products that contribute to sustainable development and strengthen the knowledge-based economy. He praised the forum’s role in discovering talented individuals, supporting them, embracing their ideas, and transforming them into real productive projects.

At the conclusion of the forum, the winning projects were announced, and sponsors and strategic partners were honored, along with the recognition of the best student projects and participants, in appreciation of their efforts and contributions to supporting innovation and fostering a culture of creativity and entrepreneurship within the university community.

The Menoufia University delegation participated in support of the University’s project and included Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Aziz Eissa, Coordinator of the Technological Business Incubator at Menoufia University and Director of the Innovation and Technology Support Center, and Dr. Mohamed Alaa El-Din El-Sebky, Coordinator of the University’s Unit for the Discovery and Support of Geniuses.

It is worth noting that the forum witnessed the participation of 61 universities, institutes, and technological schools, with around 1,000 participants from students, researchers, faculty members, and entrepreneurs. The forum featured 214 innovative projects distributed across five main tracks reflecting Egypt’s national priorities and development plans: Smart Industrial and Digital Transformation; Sustainability, Energy, and Environment; Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Innovation; Industrial Culture and Community Creativity; and Social Innovation and Digital Services.
